Cape Green Trade Day
Two Cape Green Trade Days are held during each year, they coincide with Spring and Autumn. These days allow suppliers to the nursery industry the opportunity to promote their products and services directly to their customers. Visitors include retailers, growers, landscapers, landscape architects, estate managers, municipalities and other allied businesses. They spend the day browsing, collecting information and placing orders with the various exhibitors. Exhibitors are able see all their clients and meet potential new customers in one day, it runs from 09h00 – 15h00.
Stands are available in various sizes costing from a table at R1200 to 25m2 at R12 350. Members receive a 25% discount on their stands, making them really affordable.
Sadly the venue that we’ve used for the past 10 years, Sun Exhibits at GrandWest, is no longer available. However, we have found a wonderful venue for the August 2025 Cape Green Trade Day, Mistico Equestrian Centre, on R312 between Durbanville and Paarl.
We have an average of 65 exhibitors and over 400 visitors during the day.
Since Covid, we’ve held very upbeat, busy Trade Days. In August 2025 we held the first trade day at the new venue – Mistico Equestrian Centre, what a great day it was! The venue offered a much more organic feel with lots of natural lighting and space. The theme was ‘Your story, your space’, many of the stands told lovely stories of their roots and growth. Along with the gold, silver and bronze certificates, we presented the coveted trophies.
The August 2025 stand winners were:
Plant – Veld & Fynbos
Allied – Easi Seed
The ‘Christine Faulhammer’ Trophy for the most creative stand, went to De Fynne.
THE NEXT CAPE GREEN TRADE DAY WILL BE HELD ON 18 MARCH 2026 AT MISTICO
