Cape Green Forum Hosted Trade Days

Two Cape Green Trade Days are held during each year, they coincide with Spring and Autumn. These days allow suppliers to the nursery industry the opportunity to promote their products and services directly to their customers. Visitors include retailers, growers, landscapers, landscape architects, estate managers, municipalities and other allied businesses. They spend the day browsing, collecting information and placing orders with the various exhibitors. Exhibitors are able see all their clients and meet potential new customers in one day, it runs from 09h00 – 15h00.

Stands are available in various sizes costing from R2000 – R6500. Members receive a 25% discount on their stands.

At present we have a wonderful venue, SunExhibits at GrandWest. It is big, light and offers many extra features – centrality, parking, assistance, security, etc. Last year there were 68 exhibitors and over 400 visitors during the day.

Events

Cape Green Forum offers a variety of events through the year, we have site visits, tours, talks, workshops & debates. In the past, site visits have included Babylonstoren, Cavalli Wine Estate, Delaire, Kirstenbosch, OZCF, Hotel Verde and the Vineyard Hotel. The tours between 1 – 4  days were Cape Peninsula, Eastern Cape, Elgin, Natal, West Coast & Gauteng. We’ve held golf days, e-workshops, discussions of deep watering, working out of South Africa, upcoming landscaping contracts, firewise planting and a couple of “show & tells”.

The Cape Green Forum holds a joint function with SALI (South African Landscape Institute) to end off the year.

These events are informal and offer members a great place to meet and discuss issues with like-minded colleagues. Members enjoy discounted entrance.
